OUR PROCESS

1

Diamond Grind Concrete Floor

We use industrial-grade floor grinders with special diamond tooling to grind the concrete to ensure a clean floor and etchings for the epoxy to grab onto

2

Repair Cracks and Divots in Concrete

Using our special epoxy repair material, we patch every crack and divot to ensure a new, seamless looking floor

3

Epoxy Basecoat

We pour our 2-part epoxy base coat onto the floor, first using a squeegee to spread it out, then backroll to ensure the coating is evenly laid out

4

Flake Broadcast or Apply Metallic Design Coat

For a flake system, this would be the step where we broadcast the flake on the floor. For a metallic epoxy system, this is where we lay the epoxy design coat

2

Polyaspartic Top Coat

We apply a polyaspartic top coat which is completely UV resistant and protects the epoxy coating

3

Clean-up & Quality Inspection

We leave every project cleaner than when we arrived. We also perform a quality inspection at the end of each project to ensure the floor is done at Grand Epoxy

PROUDLY CANADIAN-OWNED & OPERATED

We take pride in supporting local industries by using only high-quality, Canadian-made epoxy products.

FAQ

Epoxy flooring is a durable surface coating made by mixing resin and a hardener to form a hard, plastic-like material. It bonds to concrete and other surfaces, creating a strong, long-lasting, and visually appealing finish.

Epoxy floors are highly durable, resistant to chemicals, stains, and wear. They are easy to clean, customizable in design, provide a seamless finish, and can enhance the safety of your space with anti-slip options.

With proper maintenance, epoxy flooring can last 10–20 years or more in residential settings. In high-traffic industrial or commercial spaces, its lifespan depends on usage and care but remains impressively durable.

  • Epoxy is ideal for concrete floors but can also be applied to other substrates with the right preparation. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and structurally sound for optimal adhesion.

  • Epoxy flooring is low-maintenance. Regular sweeping and mopping with mild cleaners keep it in excellent condition. Avoid abrasive tools and harsh chemicals that could dull the finish.

Yes! Epoxy flooring offers a variety of customization options, including colors, patterns, metallic effects, flakes, and even logos or designs embedded in the surface.

Absolutely. Epoxy flooring is non-toxic once cured, making it safe for homes, garages, and basements. Anti-slip additives can also be incorporated for added safety.

Installation time varies depending on the space size and floor condition, but most projects are completed within 1–3 days, including curing time for the epoxy layers.

Polyaspartic vs Epoxy

POLYASPARTIC VS EPOXY

We want to ensure you have a lasting, durable, and beautiful floor coating for years to come. While other companies may use epoxy top/clear coat, we always use polyaspartic for garage floors with no exception.

  1. Faster curing time: Polyaspartic coatings cure much faster, reducing project completion time.
  2. UV resistance: Polyaspartic coatings resist yellowing and color fading from UV exposure much better than epoxy.
  3. Greater flexibility: Polyaspartic coatings can withstand slight movement without cracking.
  4. High abrasion resistance: Polyaspartic coatings are durable and can withstand heavy traffic and impacts.
  5. Excellent chemical resistance: Polyaspartic coatings resist stains, solvents, oils, and chemicals.
  6. Low-temperature application: Polyaspartic coatings can be applied in colder climates.
